Thurmond Rites Held Sat. At Mt. Lebanon

Funeral services for E. C. Thurmond, 67, the last member of the large Thurmond
family, pioneer settlers of Bienville Parish, who died at his home in Calvin,
La., Friday morning, Nov. 22, 1935, were held Saturday at the Mt. Lebanon
Baptist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. J. C. Cox, officiating.  Interment
was in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.  Mr. Thurmond was a retired planter.

The deceases is survived by his widow, one son, Everett, and one daughter,
Sara Lynn.
