May 28 Rites For Mrs. Tingle, 91, of Dry Prong

Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Belle Tingle, 91, of Dry Prong were held at 2
p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Liberty Chapel in Williana.  Interment was in
the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tingle died May 26 at Winnfield General Hospital.  She was a native of
Grant Parish and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Tingle is survived by five daughters, Mrs. M. D. Garner, Alexandria; Mrs.
J. L. Southern, Ferriday; Mrs. J. J. Speir, Dry Prong; Mrs. J. E. Lucas,
Trout; and Mrs. J. D. Morgan, Alexandria; one brother, W. D. Elkins,
Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Bertie Williams, Tioga, Mrs. Willie Plunkett,
Montgomery, Mrs. Ara McCain, Natchitoches; 23 grandchildren, and 56 great
grandchildren.
