Mrs. Townsend, 79, Succumbs; Rites Thursday

Kathleen Shetley Townsend, 79, a native of Winn Parish and resident of
Winnfield, died late Sunday, August 28, 1966 in an Alexandria hospital after a
long illness.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Townsend; a sister, Mrs. Tom Hewett of
Oakdale, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Southern
Funeral Home, Winnfield, with Rev. Richard Walton officiating.  Burial was in
Garden of Memories, Winnfield.
