Funeral Services For R. C. Townsend Held on Monday

Funeral services for Robert C. Townsend, 57, operator of Fort's Camp on Saline
Lake, were held at Old Union Baptist Church Monday, April 14, following his
death Sunday in a local hospital.

Mr. Townsend was a native of Winnfield and a member of the Baptist Church.
Rev. Rambin, pastor of Old Union Church, conducted the funeral.  Burial was in
Old Union Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ila Townsend, Atlanta Route 1; two sons, Cecil of
Texas and Glynn of California; one daughter, Mrs. Lessie Bruce, Rochelle; one
sister, Illene Townsend, Joyce; his father, Bryant Townsend, Joyce; and 13
grandchildren.
