Mrs. Trainer Dies After Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie G. Trainer, 84, of Winnfield were held at 2
p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with the Rev. Joe
Sharp and the Rev. Calvin Phelps officiating.

Mrs. Trainer died Monday, January 21, 1974 at Rapides Parish General Hospital
in Alexandria following a long illness.

Burial was in the Goldonna Cemetery in Goldonna.

She was a self employed seamstress, widow of the late W. W. Trainer and a
member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are two sons, Jesse Trainer of Alexandria and Preston Trainer of
Beaumont, Texas; one brother, Jack J. Grissom of Bend, Ore.; five
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Mickey Laray Trainer, Harry Preston Trainer, Thomas Ray
Trainer, Jessie Weldon Trainer, Jack Kimery, and Peter S. Gulla II.
