J. Transier, 61, Succumbs; Rites Held Fri. M. J. Transier, 61, Dry Prong, died Wednesday, December 11, 1968. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Dry Prong Baptist Church with Rev. Wilburn Taylor officiating. Burial was in Dry Prong Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors are his widow; two sons, John M. Transier of LaPlace and Leonard Transier of New Orleans; four daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Brewer of Missouri, Mrs. Emmogene Sisk and Mrs. Beverly Jo Sisk, both of Sibley, Missouri; and Mrs. Jewel Marie Shirk of Overland Park, Kansas; one brother, Alfred E. Transier of Dry Prong; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wideman and Mrs. Annie Ivy, both of Dry Prong; and nine grandchildren.
