Mrs. M. J. Thomasson

Mrs. M. J. Thomasson, age 84 years, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. A. J.
Gwin, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock.

Mrs. Thomasson was born near Harrisonburg, La., July 23, 1841.  She spent her
girlhood days in Monroe, La., during which time she met and married a Mr. T.
L. Sorrells, a druggist.  To this union were born three children, two who died
in early infancy and one son who lived to the age of fifty.  He died in
Biloxi, Miss., five years ago.

Since that time Mrs. Thomasson has made her home here with her niece, Mrs. A.
J. Gwinn.  She will be buried at Matthews Cemetery at Extension, La., July 30.
