All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 4, 1934 Winn Parish Enterprise George Tullos, 69, Succumbs At Home Near Winnfield Prominent Farmer of This Parish Buried At Beech Creek Thursday Funeral services for George Tullos, 69 years of age, who died at his home several miles east of Winnfield Wednesday at noon, December 28, 1933, were held at the Beech Creek Church Thursday afternoon. Rev. Bridges of Olla officiated. Interment was in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Mr. Tullos was born November 6, 1864. He has lived near Winnfield for the past thirteen years, coming from the Beech Creek community. He had been in ill health for over a years and was unable to continue his farming. He was condisdered one of the most prosperous and prominent farmers in this parish. Surviving the deceased is his widow, Sara Davis Tullos; five daughters and two sons: Mrs. Clara Babcock, Urania; Quinton Tullos, Shreveport; Mrs. Emma James, Miss Thressa Tullos, Russell Tullos, Mrs. Grace McMurry, Winnfield; and Mrs. Joyce Pasco, Zenoria. Nine grandchildren also survive and several half brothers and half sisters. Two children, Edna and Wesley, preceded him in death.
