Tullos, Melton Cemetery Funeral services for Louis E. Tullos, 61, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Patsy Messina, in Walker, La., Sunday, June 27, 1971 at 11 p.m., were held at the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Robert Gage, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Winnfield officiating. Burial was in the Melton Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. A native of LaSalle Parish, Mr. Tullos spent most of his lifetime in Winn Parish. He was employed with the construction industry and on two occasions sought public office, once for Representative of Winn Parish and another time Senator of the district. He was a resident of Saline Lake at the time of his death. Besides his daughter, he is survived by his wife; five brothers, Albert Tullos of Ball, Charlie Tullos of Dodson, Travis Tullos of Olla, Lacy Tullos of Cotton Valley, and Earnest Tullos of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Sjoberg of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mrs. Johnnie Cornish of Lafayette; and one grandchild.
