named Ruth Cross Palmer).

Katherine Cross Turner

Services for Katherine Cross Turner, 92, of Winnfield were held at 2:30 Friday
in the chapel of Southern with the Rev. Charles Haley and Dr. Calvin Phelps
officiating.  Burial was in Winnfield City Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 1982 in Arcadia Baptist
Home, Arcadia.

She was a native of Caddo Parish and a member of the Christian Church. She was
a member of the Readers Review Club.

Survivors include a son, W. Donald Turner of Winnfield; five grandchildren and
five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Turner was a well known piano instructor in the Winnfield area.  She
was preceded in death in 1966 by her husband, W. C. Turner, who operated for
many years a shoe repair shop; also her two older sons, Paul Turner of Tyler,
Texas died in 1954, and Robert Turner of Monroe, died in 1967.
