The widow of the late Buck Turner, Mrs. Turner was a member of the Laurel Heights Assembly of God Church and a native of Winn Parish. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Southern Funeral Home with the Rev. F. M. Harrell and the Rev. Charles Haley officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield City Cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Loyd Turner, S. L. Turner, and Elton Turner, all of Winnfield, Douglas Turner of Alvin, Texas, and Buck Turner of Minden; two daughters, Mrs. Malvin Howell and Mrs. Dallas Varnell, both of Winnfield; one brother, Houston Smith of Pineville; two sisters, Mrs. Maudie Lee Hamm of Irvin, Texas and Mrs. Madie Lyon of Florien; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were E. J. Cannon, J. W. McLeod, Raymond Stephens, Buck Johnston, Lee Bland, and George Bemont.
