Quarters, about seven o'clock. It was stated that she shot three times, two bullets going wild, while the third struck Turner entering the hip joint and lodging in his intestines. Attending physicians, Drs. Kelly and Wright, expressed the belief the wound was fatal. Turner was taken to Shreveport that night to the hospital. Liler McCune was arrested by City Marshall Peters, immediately following the affray and was later turned over to parish officials, who placed her in the parish jail. She is there now awaiting the outcome. Should Turner die, she will be given a preliminary trial awaiting the action of the grand jury, and should he recover, she will likely be charged with shooting with intent to kill, either of which will necessitate a district court meeting. (Note: no idea if Walter "Kid" Turner made it or not - GED)
