Third Traffic Death In Winn

Traffic accidents accounted for their third fatality in Winn Parish this year
when a Negro woman from Natchitoches died Saturday, June 12, after her car
smashed into a tree off the Chee Chee Dam Road at Saline Lake.

Dead at the Natchitoches Parish Hospital was Buna P. Turner, 60.

State police reported that the woman was driving a new Falcon station wagon
which went out of control in loose gravel.  The car was rounding a curve in
the center of the narrow gravel and went out of control as the driver tried to
make room for oncoming traffic.
