Mrs. Tyrone, 80, Dies; Burial Held At Hebron

Mrs. Lillian Tyrone, 80, of Sikes, died at 3 a.m. Friday, January 25, 1974 in
Autumn Leaves Nursing Home here after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Tyrone was a native of Texas and for many years was housekeeper for the
famous comedian, Jackie Gleason, in New York.

Survivors are two brothers, B. B. Wall of Bakersfield, Calif., and Ray Wall of
Santa Cruz, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Smith and Mrs. Ruth Swann, both
of Bakersfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. J. L. Holt officiating.  Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Belvin Thigpen, Crafton Thigpen, Bennie Thigpen, Clyde
Herring, Waymon Erskine, and Crockett Erskine, Jr.
