Zion) Mrs. L. L. Thompson, aged 67, died at her home in Montgomery, Saturday, July 10, 1937, after a serious illness of about ten weeks. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church, with Rev. J> D. Fomby of Many, in charge, assisted by Rev. J. C. Rousseaux, the Methodist pastor. Interment was made at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson, (Miss Zula McCain) was born in Winn Parish December 2, 1869. On December 18, 1890 she was married to Mr. L. L. Thompson who served as postmaster at Montgomery for 29 years and is now one of the leading merchants of that place. Surviving Mrs. Thompson are her husband, three children, Mrs. J. 0. Wardlow of Mansfield, Mrs. Wayne Barrong of Montgomery, and Ardis Thompson of Minden; three grandchildren, Misses Maxine and Lavelle Cockfield of Montgomery and Miss Elizabeth Wardlow of Mansfield; and one sister, Mrs. A. C. Teddlie of Montgomery.
