C. Turner, 81, Held Friday Funeral services for Walter Clement Turner, 81, of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with the Rev. L. H. West of Shreveport officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Hixson's. Mr. Turner, a retired shoe repairman, was a native of Ferris, Texas, and a member of the Christian Church, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 1966 in a local hospital after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katherine Cross Turner, Winnfield; two sons, Don Turner, Winnfield and Robert Turner, of Monroe; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Ed Hall, John Richard Cole, Albert Frederick Cole, Dennis Shell, W. L. Allbritton of Monroe, R. L. Terry, R. D. Skains, and E. H. Farr.
