Ivy A. Underwood Funeral To Be At Sikes Friday, 2 p.m.

Ivy Allen Underwood, 79, retired farmer of Sikes, died in a Winnfield hospital
at 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, following a short illness.  Funeral services
will be held Friday, July 13, at 2 p.m. in the Sikes Cemetery, under direction
of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Underwood was a lifelong resident of the Sikes community and a member of
one of the pioneer families of this area.

Surviving are three sons, J. H. of Texas City, Texas; Harry of Freeport,
Texas; Clarence of Karnack, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Evans of Baskin,
La.; Miss Audie Underwood of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Sherman Erskins of
Karnack, Texas; and five grandchildren.
