Funeral Held For Mrs. I. Underwood At Sikes Wed.

Mrs. I. A. Underwood, 62, of Route 1, Dodson, who died at her home Tuesday,
January 8th, was buried at the Sikes Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 2
o'clock.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Buckner of Jonesboro
and arrangements were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Jonesboro.

Mrs. Underwood was the former Miss Via Sikes before her marriage to Mr.
Underwood March 10, 1901.  She was born in Winn Parish July 23, 1883 and was a
lifelong resident of Winn Parish.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, I. A. Underwood of Sikes, three daughters, Mrs.
Fred Evans, Baskin, Mrs. Sherman Erskins, Sikes, and Miss Audie Underwood of
Shreveport; three sons, Harry, Clarence, and Homer, all of Sikes; and four
grandchildren.
