Bush J. Vines, Jr. Dies, Funeral Wed., July 9

Bush J. Vines, Jr., 50, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, in a Winnfield
hospital after a long illness.  He was a resident of Dodson and an employee
of the Louisiana Department of Highways.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geneva Vines, of Dodson; four sons, Bush H.
Vines, Clifford L. Vines, Roger J. Vines, and Vernon Vines, all of Dodson; two
daughters, Mrs. Robert Gorham of Joyce and Miss Bennie Vines of Dodson; his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Vines, Sr. of Dodson; seven brothers, Albert
Vines, Henry Vines, Jim Vines, Clyde Vines, Leonard Vines, and Woodrow Vines
of Dodson, and Dewey Vines of Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. Archie Snellings of
Winnfield and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hurricane Creek Baptist
Church at Tannehill with Revs. J. A. Cockerham and Rayford Higgs officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.
