Mrs. Vail

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie V. Vail, 72, of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. 
Friday in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church at Dodson with the Rev. Kelly Tingle 
and the Rev. James Gorham officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home 
of Winnfield.

Mrs. Vail died Wednesday, February 8, 1978 in the local hospital after a 
lengthy illness.

A member of the South Winnfield Baptist Church, Mrs. Vail was a member of the 
Navy Mothers' Club.

Survivors include two sons, Ordner Vail of Avinger, Texas and Houston Vail of 
Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs. Edna Bryant of Calvin, Mrs. Rita Guilliams and 
Mrs. Thelma Jarnagin, both of Winnfield, and Mrs. Lorna Bright of New Orleans; 
one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bartley of Shreveport; 23 grandchildren and 25 great 
grandchildren.
