Mrs. G. Varnell Succumbs; Burial Near Winnfield

Mrs. Gladys Varnell, 53, of Winnfield, died Friday, October 1, 1965 in a
Winnfield hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Heights Assembly of
God Church in Winnfield with Rev. W. F. Harrell officiating.  Burial was in
the Bolton-Teagle Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of
Jonesboro.

She is survived by her husband, John Varnell, of Winnfield; her father, Tom
Franks of Winnfield; three brothers, Huey Franks of Winnsboro, and Hubert and
Henry Franks, both of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Vines of Dodson and
Mrs. Joyce Vines of Winnfield.
