Funeral Rites For Mrs. J. R. Vess Held Thurs.

Mrs. Lorraine D. Vess, 52, died at her Saline Lake residence near Winnfield,
at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 1972.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Southern Funeral Home with
the Rev. E. B. Barton officiating.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery here.

Mrs. Vess was a native of Shreveport, a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church,
and a member of the Palestine Chapter No. 55, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, J. R. Vess of Winnfield; her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. O. O. Davis of Winnfield; one brother, Bobby D. Davis of Texarkana, Ark.,
and one sister, Mrs. Dickey Gill of Little Rock, Ark.
