Funeral Services Tuesday For Mrs. Lena Vicknair

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Lena Vicknair, sister of Mrs.
Floyd Long of Winnfield, in the Sardis Baptist Church.  Mrs. Vicknair died in
an Alexandria hospital following a long illness.

Rev. Alwin Stokes was in charge of the funeral, assisted by Rev. W. C. Bounds
and Rev. C. M. Robinson.  Burial was under direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Gillis Long, Edward Shumake, Charles Thornton, and Leland
Shumake.

Survivors are her husband, V. A. Vicknair of New Orleans; one son, Romeo
Vicknair of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Long of Winnfield;
three brothers, Will Shumake and Fred Shumake, both of near Winnfield, and B.
T. Shumake of Texas.
