Employee Urania Camp Scalded While At Work Monday, 30 Newt Vickers, about 50 years of aged died at a clinic at Olla, La., Thursday, January 2, 1936, from severe burns and bruises he received on Monday of last week while working on a loader at the Hinton Camp. He had been an employee of the Urania Lumber Company for many years. From reports, the man was firing the boiler when in some manner he was scalded and a load of wood fell on him. Funeral services were conducted at Beech Creek Church, Friday afternoon, with the Rev. Carroway in charge. The deceased was a native of this parish. He is survived by his wife and six children, and one half-brother, J. A. Vickers, of Flat Creek.
