Mrs. Mary Vines Succumbs at 73, After Long Illness

Mrs. Mary G. Vines, 73, of Winn Parish died at 10:30 a.m. March 20 in a local
hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral rites were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel, with the Rev. George Jones, pastor of Dodson Baptist Church,
officiating.  Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, 10 miles east of Winnfield.

Mrs. Vines was a native of Winn Parish and a member of Dodson Baptist Church.

She leaves her husband, S. N. Vines of Dodson; two sisters, Mrs. L. N. Vines
of Winnfield, Miss Angie Gates, Monroe; two brothers, Noah Gates, Monroe, and
Charlie Gates of Dodson.
