Mrs. Earl Vines of Dodson, La., Succumbs Monday

Mrs. Earl Vines, age 28 years, died at her home in Winnfield, La., Route 2,
Monday, December 23, as a result of a brain tumor, from which she has been
suffering a number of years.  Interment and services were held at the
Hurricane Creek Cemetery and Church, December 24 with Rev. J. A. Cockerham
officiating.

Mrs. Vines, the former Mary Elizabeth Lowery, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.  Daniel
Lowery of this parish, was married to Earl Vines November 24, 1928.  She was
reared and educated in Winn Parish and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Vines other than her parents are her husband, one daughter,
Betty Jean, four sisters, Mrs. Ida Gorham, Mrs. Betty Whisonant, Lucille
Lowery, and Aline Lowery, and four brothers, Robert, Odell, Lawrence, and
Morgan Lowery.
