Worsham Dies From Burns; Buried At Hargis Claud E. Worsham, 83, of Montgomery, died in an Alexandria hospital at 2 a.m. Saturday of burns sustained when a gas heater in his bedroom exploded Thursday night. Cause of the explosion was not determined. Mrs. Worsham said she awakened to find her husband in flames. Both mattresses of his bed were badly burned. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hargis Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin O. Doolittle and the Rev. W. C. Powell officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. He is survived by his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Rob Little of Hargis and Mrs. Bertha Teddlie of Tioga; one son, Herman Worsham of Montgomery, and three grandchildren.
