C. Warner Succumbs; Last Rites On Sunday Mrs. Dorothy Bell Warner, 53, died in a Winnfield hospital at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1964. She had been in ill health for the past four years, and succumbed after suffering an attack of influenza. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. with the pastor, Dr. W. L. Holcomb, and the Rev. C. C. Martin officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were D. L. Hoffman, Bobby Byrnes, C. J. Erskins, Dick Watts, Eugene Pogue, Arnett Garriss, Harvey Rhymes, and Judge Harwell Allen. Mrs. Warner had been an insurance agent in the area for many years. She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Mollie Long Bell and J. Y. Bell, Sr., and the granddaughter of the late W. E. Long and Francis Johnson Long of Winnfield and of William and Maggie Bell of Simsboro, La. She is survived by her husband, Dorice Warner, Winnfield; one son, Rev. John William Warner, Sylacauga, Ala.; one brother, Winn Parish Tax Assessor John Y. Bell, Winnfield; two aunts, Mrs. Nancy Morrison and Mrs. G. A. Payne, Winnfield; and two uncles, William E. Long, Baton Rouge, and J. W. Long, El Paso, Texas.
