Last Rites Held Sunday For Former Nurse of Winnfield Mrs. Mable Dillard Wallace, 38, died in a local clinic Friday night, July 22, after a long illness. Mrs. Wallace was a well known practical nurse and worked in both the Winnfield clinics at various times during her residence here since 1927. Mrs. Wallace moved to Winnfield from Nashville, Ark., with her first husband, Mr. Dillard, who was connected to the planer mill. He died and she later married Mr. Joe Wallace. Her only son, a high school student, was instantly killed in a car wreck here a number of years ago. Funeral services for Mrs. Wallace were held Sunday, July 24, in Nashville, Ark. She is survived by her husband, Joe Wallace; one sister, Mrs. David Gibson of Shreveport; two brothers, E. Gathright, Shreveport, and E. C. Gathright, St. Louis, Mo.; and seven nieces and nephews.
