Mrs. H. Worsham Succumbs; Buried At Atlanta May 20

Mrs. H. H. Worsham, 78, of Winnfield died Saturday, May 19, in a local nursing
home after a lengthy illness.  She was a native of Waco, Texas, and spent her
early life in Atlanta, where the family resided before moving to Winnfield
a number of years ago.  She was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at the Atlanta
Baptist Church with the Rev. C. C. Martin officiating.  He was assisted by Dr.
Sledge of Shreveport.  Burial was in the Atlanta Cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were Wilmer and Drew Stevens, Robert Mathews, Virgil
Tharpe, Earl and Otis Davison.

Survivors include two sons, Murphy Worsham of Winnfield and J. L. Worsham of
Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Ray H. Davison of Blanks, La.; one brother, Lon
Poole of Atlanta, La.; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a
number of nieces and nephews.
