Final Rites For Mrs. Rosa Wade Held At Old Union

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Allen Wade, 71, who died at her residence here
Monday, June 1, of a heart attack, were conducted at the Old Union Baptist
Church, Joyce, at 2 p.m. Tuesday.  The Rev. Willie James, pastor, conducted
the last rites.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wade was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, having been born in Ward
Two, but residing most of her life in the southern part of Winn Parish.  She
was the widow of the late Tom Wade, who served as a member of the parish
school board for many years.

Mrs. Wade is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Myra Harrison, Winnfield; Mrs.
Nila Friday, Kennedy, Texas; Mrs. Maude McManus, Forest Hill; Mrs. Pearl
Williams, Sulphur; and Miss Ethel Wade, Winnfield, and eight grandchildren.
