Wade of Ward Six Dies Suddenly May 29 Funeral Services Were Held Saturday at Union Church Funeral services for T. F. Wade, prominent citizen of Ward Six, Winn Parish, who died suddenly at his home near New Verda, La., Friday afternoon, May 29, 1936, were held from the Union Baptist Church, six miles east of Winnfield Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. E. McMurry and Rev. W. D. Sherwood, Baptist ministers, conducted the last rites. Mr. Wade was 66 years of age. He had been active in Winn Parish affairs for many years. He served several terms as member of the parish school board from Ward Six. At the time of his death he was employed by the Louisiana Conservation Department. About four weeks ago he had an automobile accident and though not seriously injured, he had not seemed altogether well since. Friday afternoon he went to the well to draw some fresh water for some visitors and was seized with a heart attack and fell faint from it. He lived but a few moments after being removed into the house. Surviving are his widow, one son, Henry Wade of Crowley, La., and five daughters, Mrs. Albert Fryday of Kennedy, Texas; Mrs. Travis McManus of New Verda, La.; Mrs. Pearl Parker of Natchitoches, La.; Mrs. G. H. Harrison of Winnfield; and Miss Ethel Wade of New Verda, La.
