E. Wagoner, 74, Held Jan. 19 Funeral rites for Mrs. M. E. Wagoner, 74, Held Jan. 19 Funeral rites for Mrs. M. E. Wagoner, 74 year old Winnfield woman, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, in the South Winnfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Malone, the Rev. J. O. Payne, and the Rev. Edward Smith officiating. Burial was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Wagoner died at 12:30 p.m. Friday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Ouachita Parish and was a member of the South Winnfield Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. H. C. Whisonant of Winnfield, Mrs. Francile Cockerham of Dodson, Mrs. D. M. Howell of Calvin, and Mrs. Edward Eagles of Doyline; four sons, Rulton, Lassion, Thomas, and Roy Wagoner, all of Winnfield; five sisters, Mrs. R. R. Fisher, Mrs. Jim Poole, Mrs. John Gardner, Mrs. Kate Boyett, and Mrs. Irene Rozelle, all of Winnfield; 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
