Tom Walker, Aged 82 Succumbs To Long Illness Last Saturday

After an illness of several months, Tom Walker, aged 82, succumbed at his home
at Walker, Saturday.

The deceased was a pioneer citizen of this section and a devout Christian and
loyal member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at the Ebenezer Cemetery, Sunday, with Rev.
Murray of Jonesboro couducting the services in the presence of a large concourse
of sorrowing loved ones and friends.

Surviving him are three daughters, Misses Emma, Maggie, and Morelle Walker, and
five sons, Willie, Ira, Jeffie and Franklin Walker of Walker and Bud Walker of
Mooringsport; a brother, E.Walker of Dodson, and one sister, Mrs. Angie Elridge
of Weston.
