Gene Wallace

Services for Phillip Eugene "Gene" Wallace, 51, of Temple, Texas, were held at
4 p.m. Saturday, January 31, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport,
La.  The Rev. Douglas Burnley and the Rev. Gerald Hodnett officiated.  Burial
was in Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport.

Mr. Wallace, a resident of Temple for a short time, died Thursday, January 29,
1987, in Temple after a long illness.  He was formerly of Atlanta, La.  He
lived in Shreveport, La. most of his life and was a former vice president for
Roberts Cigar & Tobacco Co.  Mr. Wallace was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Wallace of Temple; his mother, Mrs.
Gay Nell Wallace of Atlanta, La.; one son, Dwain Eugene Wallace of Shreveport;
one daughter, Donna Lynn Jones of Monroe, La.; one sister, Lorraine Landry of
Lake Charles, La.; one granddaughter, Jennifer Brooke Wallace of Shreveport;
two grandsons, Cory and Brent Jones of Monroe; and grandmother, Mrs. Pete
Gresham.
