J. T. Walsworth Dies Thursday PM at Jonesboro Home 

Father of C. F. Walsworth and G. M. Walsworth, Local Residents

John T. Walsworth, age 81, died at his home in Jonesboro Thursday afternoon
about one o'clock following a lengthy illness.

Prior to his retirement several years ago Mr. Walsworth was engaged in the
mercantile business and had resided in Ruston and Dodson before moving to
Jonesboro.

He was a member of the Jonesboro Baptist Church, the Masonic fraternity, and
the Woodmen of the World.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Ella Temple Walsworth, and three sons, C.
F., Clerk of Court of Winn Parish, G. M. with the Department of Public Safety,
and Johnny of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Hall of Chatham and Mrs. Mildred
Ferguson of Minden; three brothers, S. W. Walsworth, Haynesville, Bob
Walsworth, Jonesboro, and D. L. Walsworth, Venice, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at the family residence in
Jonesboro.  Interment will follow in the Transport Cemetery with the Rev. J.
W. Buckner, pastor of Jonesboro Baptist Church, officiating.
