T. Walsworth Held Saturday Last rites for John T. Walsworth, age 81, who died at his home in Jonesboro Thursday, March 28, 1946, following a lengthy illness, were held at the family residence in Jonesboro Saturday morning, with the Rev. J. W. Buckner, Baptist minister, officiating. Interment was in the Transport Cemetery. A merchant for many years, Mr. Walsworth was engaged in business in Ruston and Dodson before retirement. He was a member of the Jonesboro Baptist Church, the Masonic fraternity, and the Woodmen of the World. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Ella Temple Walsworth, and three sons, C. F. Walsworth, clerk of court of Winn Parish, G. M. Walsworth, with the state department of public safety, and Johnny Walsworth of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Hall, Chatham, and Mrs. Mildred Ferguson, Minden; three brothers, S. W. Walsworth, Haynesville, Bob Walsworth, Jonesboro, and D. L. Walsworth, Venice, Calif. Pallbearers were John R. Gray, Travis Pardue, Prof. McLaren, Assessor W. S. Baar and Sheriff Neal Thomas, all of Jonesboro; and Frank Williams of Little Rock, Ark.
