Mrs. A. W. Walker Dies; Rites At Yankee Springs

Eva Pauline Walker, 74, died at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 1969, in a
Winnfield nursing home.  She was a resident of Goldonna.

She is survived by her husband, Allen W. Walker of Winnfield; a son, Edison
Walker of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Carpenter of Winnfield and
Mrs. Odell Hammond of Sarepta; a brother, Arthur Weeks of Jonesboro; five
sisters, Mrs. Mae Hunt of Shreveport, Mrs. Julia Sanders of Baton Rouge, and
Mrs. Bessie Maxie, Mrs. Carmen Irvin and Mrs. Ruby Parker, all of Jonesboro,
10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Yankee Springs Baptist
church near Winnfield with Rev. D. W. McDaniel officiating.  Burial was in the
church cemetery.
