W. E. Walker, 51, Relative Of Winn Residents Dies

William Elmo Walker, 51, principal of the Amite, La., High School, died of a
heart attack at his home Dec. 31.  Last rites were held Jan. 2, with burial at
Amite.

Among his survivors are his father, W. T. Walker of Jonesboro; six brothers,
one of who is Lt. Col. W. Stewart Walker of Stewart, Ga., former resident of
Winnfield; two sisters, one of whom is Miss Gladys Walker, instructor at
Dodson school; and numerous relatives in Winn Parish.
