S. Walker Here Tuesday Irving Sidney Walker, 85 years, died at his home in Winnfield Tuesday at 7 a.m., after suffering a second paralytic stroke earlier in the week. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the First Baptist Church of Winnfield of which he was a member, the pastor, Rev. H. H. McBride, and the Rev. Fred Flurry, Methodist minister, officiating. Mr. Walker was born and reared near Marion, La., and moved to Winnfield in 1902. He wasa farmer, which work he followed and enjoyed until his illness. His first marriage was to Miss Sally Cranford, who preceded him in death thirty seven years ago. His second marriage was to Miss Josie Heard of Bernice, La. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Walker of Union Parish. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lorena Wiegel and Mrs. Norma McFafland, both of Texarkana; and one son, Cranford P. Walker of Los Angeles, California.
