Walker Services for Pyburn E. Walker, 87, of Hodge were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro, La. The Rev. Mike Hammett officiated. Burial was at Transport Cemetery near Dodson, La. Mrs. Walker died Friday, April 10, 1987 in Shreveport following a short illness. He was a native of Jackson Parish, retired from the Hodge Paper Mill, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Hodge Methodist Church and served as alderman in the Town of Hodge for 16 years. He is survived by three brothers, L. Z. Walker of Arcadia, Dr. George T. Walker of Monroe, and William Stewart Walker of Winnfield; one sister, Miss Grace Walker of Jonesboro, and several nieces and nephews.
