S. M. Walker Is Buried Friday At Transport Cemetery

S. M. Walker, 66 years of age, an esteemed resident of the Simmons Grove
section, died at his home on Monday, May 19th.  Funeral services were
conducted on Tuesday by Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor of the Winnfield Methodist
Church, who was assisted by the Rev. W. F. Roberts, pastor of Jonesboro
Methodist Church.

Awaiting the arrival of a daughter from Los Angeles, Calif., interment was
delayed until Friday, May 23, at which time burial was made in the Transport
Cemetery near Dodson.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, two sons, L. E. Walker, principal of the
Mooringsport High School, Marcel and Viever Walker of Simmons Grove; Mrs. J.
P. Wyatt, Mrs. C. A. Adams, Mrs. George D. Stewart, of Los Angeles.

Mr. Walker was married twice, his first wife having been Miss Armer Anders, a
sister of Mrs. L. L. Lee of Dodson.
