Zack Walker, 78, Dies; Rites Held In Sicily Island

Funeral services for Zack Walker, 78, of Sicily Island were held Tuesday,
August 1, 1972 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winnsboro with Father
Daniel Corkery officiating.

Burial was held in New Pine Hill Cemetery near Sicily Island.

A rosary was held in the chapel of the funeral home.

Mr. Walker died Monday, July 31, 1972 in Catahoula Parish Hospital following a
long illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Delrie Walker of Sicily Island; three
sons, Charlie Glenn Walker of Natchitoches, Earl G. Walker of Sicily Island,
and Zack Elbert Walker of Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Tolbert of Sikes
and Mrs. Wayne Walker of Monroe; three brothers, Albert, Clifford, and Eldon
Carnahan; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Kerry, Mrs. Daisy Kerry, Mrs. Laura Bynog,
and Mrs. Lillie LaCaze, all of Cloutierville; 16 grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.
