Wall of Tioga received a telegram from the Air Force today telling them that the son A2C Jerry N. Wall was among the 86 killed in the crash of the C124 Saturday. In addition to his parents, Wall is survived by three brothers, Joseph M. of Tioga, A. D. of Dodson, and Charles L. of Port Arthur, Texas. The telegram stated that Wall, 21, was among the known dead. The AFD said they would send a detailed letter later. The telegram today ended a three-day vigil by the Wall family. Earlier young Wall's father called the Larsen AFB and was told that his son was on the list of passengers. Wall was an Air Force veteran of almost two years. The huge transport plane was on a "Christmas Special" flight from the Washington base to Kelley AFB in San Antonio. It was carrying 116 servicemen home for holiday leaves. There were __ killed. No other details were learned before the News-American went to press Tuesday night.
