Former Winn Resident Dies In Monroe Thur.

Funeral services for Mrs. C. W. Wallace, 85, of Monroe, were held Saturday at
10 a.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. W. Bradley
Trimble officiating. 

Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.

Mrs. Wallace, who died late Thursday, May 30, 1968, was a former resident of
Winn Parish having operated a hotel for many years at Old Joyce, where her
husband, the late C. W. Wallace was affiliated with Tremont Lumber Company and
later after moving to Winnfield with the Louisiana Highway Department.

Survivors include one daughter, Miss Una Lee Wallace of Monroe.

Pallbearers were Dr. Felix Willey, Dr. W. M. Hughes, Jack Crosby, G. E.
Brewton, and Ronnie Brewton of Winnfield, and J. R. Akins.
