F. Walsworth Here Last Friday Wife of Clerk of Court Succumbs After Long Illness Mrs. C. F. Walsworth, 44, wife of C. F. Walsworth, clerk of court of Winn Parish, died at her home in Winnfield Friday, November 12, just two hours after she had returned home from a visit with her parents in Belcher, la. Mrs. Walsworth had been in ill health for a number of years and was under the treatment of physicians continuously. She had gone to visit her parents a week before her death and had become critically ill while there. Her condition improved and she was brought to her home here Friday where her death occurred two hours later. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the pastor, Dr. B. C. Land, officiating, assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes of the Presbyterian Church and Rev. G. A. Morgan of the Methodist Church. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Bryant Sholars, J. R. Watts, Jr., E. J. Byrnes, W. C. Cookston, Hasson Morris, and J. E. Carter. Mrs. Walsworth, before her marriage was Miss Maggie Mae Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Lee of Belcher, La., former residents of this parish. She was born in Gaars Mill community and lived the earlier part of her life in that community and in Dodson. She was married to Mr. Walsworth in Dodson on November 17, 1910 and they moved to Winnfield in 1920. Mrs. Walsworth was a leader in church and civic affairs until her failing health forced her to cease active participation in the organizations in which she held membership. In addition to her husband and parents other survivors are two sons, Doyle Walsworth of Sweetwater, Texas, and Charles Walsworth of Baton Rouge, a member of the state highway police force; two brothers, C. C. Lee, Jr., of Natchitoches, and Culbert Lee of Monroe, and one sister, Mrs. H. E. Shull of Los Angeles, Calif.
