A. Walsworth Final Rites Held At Jonesboro Funeral services for E. A. "Little Sam" Walsworth, 64, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jonesboro Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. James Adams and the Rev. John Alley officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mr. Walsworth died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in a Shreveport hospital after a long illness. A Jonesboro businessman for 42 years, he was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Walsworth of Jonesboro. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie H. Walsworth of Jonesboro; one son, Billy Ted Walsworth of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Chennault of Shreveport; one brother, F. A. Walsworth of Jonesboro; six sisters, Mrs. Ola Davis, Mrs. Dora Parker, and Mrs. Marie Boles, all of Jonesboro; Mrs. Ozzie Folse of Arlington, Texas; Mrs. Alma Shows of Odessa, Texas; and Mrs. Ludie Shows of Longstreet; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were A. E. Stewart, C. W. Tichsner, Susie McDonald, Homer Rowe, Billy McDonald, Charles Garrett, Joe Key, and David Stinson. Honorary pallbearers were Clyde Hicks, Breard Carpenter, and Reece Stuckey, of Winnfield, and local businessmen of Jonesboro.
