Wardlow, 72, Montgomery, Buried Tuesday Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 2, for L. Dow Wardlow, 72 year old Montgomery bank president, who died Sunday, October 31, in the North Louisiana Sanitarium in Shreveport after a brief illness. He was well known throughout Winn Parish. Last rites were conducted in the Montgomery Methodist Church and interment was in Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport. Officiating at the graveside service were Rev. R. R. Branton of Ruston, and Rev. Guy Hicks, Shreveport First Methodist Church. Born December 1, 1876, in McNairy County, Tenn., he was one of 15 children of James Wardlow and Memphis Caffey Wardlow. Mr. Wardlow came to Montgomery in 1902 and had been president of the Bank of Montgomery since its organization in 1903. He was a member of the Montgomery Methodist Church, was a Mason, and a member of the Louisiana Bankers' Association. Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. L. C. Clanton of Shreveport, and Mrs. Earl W. Baccus of Dallas; four grandchildren, Barbara and Donald Clanton of Shreveport, Earlene and Fred Baccus of Dallas, two brothers, F. G. Wardlow of Montgomery, and Rev. John W. Wardlow of Jacksonville, Texas., and a number of nieces and nephews.
