Warren Shreveport, LA - Services for Curtis A. Warren will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams, Associate Pastor of Seniors at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Internment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home. Mr. Warren was born April 23, 1933 and died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Willis- Knighton Pierremont after a brief illness. A native of Winnfield, LA, he received his formal education at Georgetown High School and Louisiana Tech University. He was a resident of Shreveport/Bossier area for 48 years. Curtis Warren retired as Clerk of Court for Caddo Parish. He began his career with the Clerk's office in 1964 and since that time, he worked in practically every phase of the operation. He has served as Deputy Clerk, Administrative Assistant and Chief Deputy prior to being named Clerk. Curtis was active in the community and held memberships in several service and professional organizations. He was a Mason, York and Scottish Rite, a Shriner and a member of the Elks, American Legion and International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers. His parents, Wesley and Sadie Howell Warren, preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Doris McCrae Warren of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Teri Denise Pritchard and husband, Lee of Shreveport, LA and Mitzi Lynette Thompson and husband, Barry of White Oak, TX; brothers, Wesley Barrett Warren of Blanchard, LA and Jerry Wayne Warren and wife, Sherry of Grand Cane, LA; his grandchildren that he adored, Courtney Denise Pritchard, Jason Marx Pritchard and wife Ashley, Brittney Rae Thompson and Katie Nicole Thompson; great granddaughter Jalee Elizabeth Pritchard; and extended family members, Cliff and Renelle Dressel, Ben Glass and Ben, Mark, Scott and Nyle Politz. Pallbearers will be Ben Politz, Ben Glass, Gary Loftin, Mark Politz, Nyle Politz and Scott Politz. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Dressel, Roy Towns, Dr. Joe Bianca, Mike Spence and Joe E. "Butch" Ford. The family suggests memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103. Curtis A. Warren leaves behind a legacy of many loving and caring friends.
