N. Warner, 92, Winn Native Dies In Caldwell Parish J. N. Warner, 92, native of the Gaars Mill community, Winn Parish, died in a Columbia hospital Friday after a brief illness. Mr. Warner's parents were among the early settlers of this parish. A graduate of Mississippi College, class of 1896, Mr. Warner was formerly superintendent of schools in Grand and Union Parishes and had taught in Caldwell, Franklin, and Catahoula Parishes. He served as secretary-treasurer of the Grant Parish Police Jury until 1936 when he retired to devote most of his time to his Caldwell Parish farm. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Grayson Methodist Church with burial in the Welcome Home Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, and three sons, one of whom is A. B. Warner of Columbia. Attending the last rites from Winnfield was Mrs. R. A. Clewis. She was accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wardlow of Montgomery.
